Smove is a very functionial and modular built garage door. The goal with this project was to reduce the parts to a minimum and make the garage door more userfriendly and customizable.

Most garage doors have three rails, two on the sides and one int the middle with the motor pulling the door. Having the motor integrated into the top panel of the door, makes it possible to reduce the rails to only the two on the sides.
Beeing modular makes smove adapt to different houses and owners and appearance and shape.
The motor, which is integrated in the top panel of the garage door itself, is the heart of the garage door. With electricity and internet the garage door can not only be connected through the application to your phone, but there can also be lighting integrated in every panel.
The electricity is picked up on the two racks placed on the sides, transferred through the gearwheel (?) to the motor and further to each panel. Electricity is the key to make a product smart, but also modular.
